Rooster Rojo 100% Blue Weber Agave Makes its Debut in Mzansi

Amber Beverage Group and Firebrand Africa announce the launch of Rooster Rojo, a new premium 100% Blue Agave tequila, produced and distilled in the heart of Tequila, Mexico and filtered through real Mexican silver. Master distiller Arturo Fuentes Cortes affirms this tequila possesses uncompromised quality and true Mexican authenticity; Rooster Rojo is the brand that represents the true spirit of Mexico.

“We believe that this is a tequila brand that is distinguished among other tequilas. The combination of premium spirit along with traditional distillation methods will ensure that it is the number one choice for tequila lovers all around the world,” says Mantas Zlatkus, Global Brand Manager for Rooster Rojo.

The main symbol of the brand – the Red Rooster – was not selected by accident. Some may know that the rooster has been a symbol of Mexico for years, but only true tequila fans will know that the Red Rooster dwells in the Tequila volcano and is the king of all roosters.

Tequila is usually filled in robust and thick glass bottles, but Rooster Rojo is different. Its packaging is atypically thin and with a texture resembling a handmade bottle – this further distinguishes Rooster Rojo from its competitors.

Distilled at the relatively small Fabrica de Tequilas Finos, this is not the case with Rooster Rojo, which still is able to leverage the advantages of the modern era without losing its genuine, premium taste.

Rooster Rojo tequila is produced using only 100% Blue Weber agave. Cooking is done in autoclaves with the help of steam – it lasts for 10 hours. Special yeast is added to agave juices – a closely guarded secret ingredient of the master distiller – that have been used since the factory begun it’s operations. Fermentation lasts for up to 72 hours before the liquid can be distilled.

Double pot distillation is done in stainless steel pot stills, which allows preserving the natural flavors of the highest quality 100% agave. The water, used for Rooster Rojo tequila blending is filtered through Mexican silver; it makes the drink softer and smoother. Rooster Rojo is the first tequila that employs such a technique.

Rooster Rojo Reposado and Anejo launch in February 2022, and exciting new expressions will follow later this year
